Notes
- Michael Schumacher was excluded from the results of the Drivers’ Championship due to an incident with Jacques Villeneuve during the title decider at the European Grand Prix. Schumacher was stripped of his second-place finish in the championship and the 78 points he had scored during the season.
Race to the title
