  • After the 1984 Dutch Grand Prix, Tyrrell was excluded from the 1984 world championship and disqualified from all races in which they had competed in during 1984 due to technical infringements.
  • Eddie Cheever ended lap 63 in P5 before retiring on the following lap.
  • Patrick Tambay withdrew from the Grand Prix after practice due to fitness issues.
